1872 is evident in the long history of Quinta da Foz as an immortal date, perpetuated in the inscription of a stone on the facade of the main house, marks the foundation of the Quinta.

To commemorate an eternal work and to honor the men and women who have dedicated themselves to caring for the vineyards over these centuries, we have created a special lot inspired by this heritage. Rare, patrimonial, with a historical personality, it tells us about the long tradition of Quinta da Foz.

For this special edition, a batch of a limited series of 1872 numbered bottles was carefully prepared, in a symbolic homage to this important historic date.

It is born in the best plots of centenary vineyards at Quinta da Foz, with a mixture of more than 30 indigenous grape varieties, and with a low plantation density. This unique wine tells the story of the complex intensity and very elegant structure of wines produced over the centuries, simultaneously showing the expression of the future, the energy of minerality, the fine structure of satin tannins, the pure expression of the territory.

In the mouth: Very concentrated. You can feel the balsamic notes of the oak, the fig, the black plums. Full-bodied, ripe flavor. Very elegant persistent finish.
